Vista has no drivers for the Telstra NextG cards, luckily enough you can use the XP drivers.
Download them following site.
www.zte.com.au/support/downloads.htm
After you have installed the Software and windows is looking for the drivers point the drivers search to the following directory
C:\Program Files\Telstra Turbo Card Manager\drivers
You may find that windows doesn’t ask you for the drivers, go to device manager and right click the unknown device and specify the driver directory above and you’ll have a working NextG card under Vista.
Here’s a quick and simple way to install telnet.
Go to the command prompt and enter the following command.
start /w pkgmgr /iu:”TelnetClient”
telnet is now installed.
When copying files to/from a Vista box to any other non-Vista machines, sometimes the copy process runs slowly - ~250K/s. Install the patch below and it should fix the problem. But before installing the patch, try this first:
- Go to the Control Panel
- Open Programs and Features
- Click on “Turn windows features on or off” on the left side of the panel
- Uncheck “Remote Differential Compression”
This will fix the slowness in most of the situations. As a last resort, install the relevant hotfix below.
